These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Booster Financial Incorporated, doing business as Booster (“Booster,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They apply to the Booster mobile application, website, beta program, and related products or services, collectively referred to as the “Service.”
By creating an account, installing the app, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Booster is a read-only personal-finance tool. It shows you information from financial accounts you choose to connect and forecasts your cash flow. It does not move money, make payments, or give financial advice.
1. The Beta Program
Booster is currently offered as a beta. That means the Service is still being built and tested. Features may be incomplete, change without notice, stop working, or be removed. Data shown in the app may be delayed, missing, or wrong.
We may limit who can join the beta, how many people can use it, and for how long. We may pause or end the beta, or your access to it, at any time.
Beta access is free. If we later introduce paid plans, we will tell you in the app before anything is charged, and the subscription terms in Section 6 will apply.
When you send us feedback, bug reports, or suggestions, you allow us to use them to improve Booster without any obligation to you.
2. Who Can Use Booster
To use the Service you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Live in the United States, where the beta is offered
- Create an account with accurate information and keep it up to date
- Keep your sign-in method (Apple, Google, or email) secure and not share your account
- Connect only financial accounts that you own or are authorized to use
You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away at admin@boosterfinancialapp.com if you think someone else has used it.
3. Booster Is Not Financial Advice
Booster organizes and displays your financial information and shows you forecasts and insights. None of it is financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice, and Booster is not a bank, broker, financial adviser, or fiduciary.
Any decision you make about your money is yours. Before making an important financial decision, check the numbers with your financial institution and consider talking to a qualified professional.
Booster does not make decisions about your eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or government benefits.
4. Forecasts Are Estimates
Booster’s cash-flow forecasts, projected balances, classifications, and insights are estimates. They are calculated from the transactions your bank has shared, the schedules and expectations you enter, and assumptions built into Booster.
Forecasts can be wrong because, for example:
- Your bank reports a transaction late, with a different amount, or not at all
- A transaction is classified in the wrong category, by Booster or by you
- Your income, bills, or spending change
- A bank connection stops updating
- The beta contains a bug
Forecasts are not guarantees, promises, or statements about your actual balance. Do not rely on a forecast to decide whether a payment will clear or whether you can afford something. Your financial institution’s records are the only authoritative record of your accounts.
5. Connected Financial Accounts
You connect financial accounts through Plaid. Plaid is a separate company with its own terms and privacy policy, which you accept when you use its connection flow. Booster never receives or stores your online-banking username or password.
The connection is read-only. Booster can view the account information you authorize but cannot move money, make payments, or change anything in your accounts. You can disconnect an account at any time in the app or through Plaid Portal.
Booster depends on your financial institution and Plaid to deliver account information. We are not responsible when a connection fails, stops updating, or delivers incomplete or incorrect data.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
Booster is free while it is in beta. If Booster offers a paid subscription, the following applies.
- Subscriptions are sold as auto-renewing monthly or yearly plans through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The price and billing period are shown before you buy.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. The store charges your payment method on file.
- You manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple or Google account settings, not in the Booster app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and you keep access until then.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Booster does not process payments and cannot issue refunds directly.
- If you change devices, use Restore purchases in the app to recover an active subscription.
- Deleting the Booster app or your Booster account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in the store first to avoid further charges.
We may change subscription prices or plans. If a change affects you, the store will tell you before the next renewal, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
7. Acceptable Use
When you use the Service, you agree not to:
- Break any law, or use Booster for fraud, money laundering, or any other unlawful purpose
- Connect accounts you do not own or are not authorized to use
- Share your account, sell access to it, or let someone else use it
- Copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or try to extract the source code of the app, its models, or its data, except where the law allows it
- Probe, scan, or test the security of the Service, or try to get around its access controls, without our written permission
- Overload or interfere with the Service, or use bots or automated tools against it
- Upload malicious code or content
- Use the Service to build a competing product
- Harass our team or other users, or impersonate Booster or anyone else
If we believe you have broken these rules, we may limit, suspend, or end your access, with or without notice.
8. Account Deletion and Ending Service
You can stop using Booster at any time. To delete your account, open Profile in the app and tap Delete account, or submit a request at https://www.boosterfinancialapp.com/account-deletion. Deletion permanently removes your Booster profile, bank connections, and the financial data Booster imported or calculated for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. It cannot be undone.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through Apple or Google. Cancel it in your store account settings.
We may suspend or close your account, or stop offering the Service, if you break these Terms, if we are required to by law, if your account is inactive for a long time, or if we end the beta. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first.
Sections that by their nature should survive, including Sections 3, 4, 9 to 12, and 14, continue to apply after your account is closed.
9. Your Content and Our Content
You own the information you enter into Booster and the financial information you authorize Booster to receive. You give us the permission we need to store, process, and display it so that the Service can work for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Booster, including its software, design, names, logos, text, and forecasting methods, belongs to Booster Financial Incorporated or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We give you a personal, limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app and website for your own personal, non-commercial purposes under these Terms. We keep all other rights.
10. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on companies we do not control, including Plaid, Apple, Google, RevenueCat, TypeSafe, OpenAI, and your financial institutions. Their services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their acts, omissions, outages, or data.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” especially during the beta. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Booster disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service will be accurate, complete, reliable, secure, or uninterrupted.
Some states do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Booster Financial Incorporated and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of money, profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms. This includes losses caused by relying on a forecast, insight, or classification, by a bank connection that fails or delivers wrong data, or by a decision you make based on information shown in Booster.
Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Booster for the Service in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred US dollars ($100).
These limits apply regardless of the legal theory on which a claim is based and even if we were told that the damages were possible. Some states do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
13. Changes to the Service and These Terms
We may change the Service at any time, including by adding, changing, or removing features, especially during the beta.
We may also update these Terms. When we make a material change, we will tell you through the app, our website, or email before the change takes effect. The Effective Date at the top shows when the current version started to apply. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, the updated Terms apply to you. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and Booster consent to their jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires a different forum.
Before starting a formal dispute, please contact us at admin@boosterfinancialapp.com. Most problems can be resolved quickly and informally.
15. General
- These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Booster about the Service.
- If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a provision, that is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
- You may not transfer these Terms or your account to anyone else. We may transfer them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Nothing in these Terms limits rights that you have under applicable law and that cannot be waived.
